This calligraphy/stone carving project was the brainchild of Brugge stone-carver Maud Bekaert.

The stones, designed by South Africans and carved by Belgians, were auctioned on 28 September 2008 in Brugge, the proceeds of which went to Breadline Africa and Sprinkle, for the benefit of children orphaned by the Aids epidemic in South Africa. The auction raised 61 250 Euro (about 715,000 ZAR / 85,150 USD).
